More information

What's Included

A thorough consultation, careful foiling and tailored toning for a seamless result.

  • Personal colour consultation to agree shade, placement and maintenance.
  • Skin test where required before your first colour visit.
  • Full head foiling from nape to hairline for even brightness all round.
  • Lightener and developer selected for your hair type and goals.
  • Optional root smudge or face-framing refinement for softer grow-out.
  • Cleanse, condition and a professional finish to check tone and placement.
  • Aftercare guidance and home routine recommendations.

Who It's For

For anyone who wants consistent brightness from roots to ends with a believable finish. Great for first-time blonding, refreshing dull lengths or diffusing scattered greys without a solid block of colour.

Ideal if you wear your hair up or change your parting and want it to look bright from every angle. Suits most hair types; thicker or longer hair benefits from the fuller coverage a complete foil pattern gives.

Duration & Appointment Timing

Allow 2.5 to 3 hours for consultation, foiling, processing, and finish. First-time appointments, long regrowth or very thick hair may require extra time.

If you are new to colour or it has been over six months since your last visit, a consultation and skin test are needed at least 48 hours before your appointment. This ensures the plan and timing are right for your hair.

Aftercare & Maintenance

Use colour-safe shampoo and conditioner, a heat protector, and a weekly nourishing mask. If you prefer a cooler tone, a purple shampoo once a week helps control warmth.

Most clients book maintenance highlights every 8 to 12 weeks, we recommended alternating Half head t sections as required

I love love love this salon! Been coming for 2+ years now and they are unmatched in the area. It’s premium quality but the prices are really reasonable. Especially love the blonde highlights here - Yvonne is amazing!

I’ve been getting my hair done at Butler & Lawler for a while now and it is always a great experience. Yvonne is a master or colour, even when it’s growing out it still looks natural, and Debbie couldn’t give a bad cut if she tried, she’s also great with tips on how to manage your hair at home. Yvonne and Debbie are also really good company and conversation flows easily. I don’t know the rest of the staff so well but everyone is polite and friendly. I always get nice compliments about my hair after a visit to Butler & Lawler and can highly recommend the salon.

As always I have a head of hair that is perfectly coloured by Yvonne. As Yvonne will not do anything that she does not feel will look good on you.

I have been benefitting from the hair care of Yvonne and Debbie for more years than I care to remember. I am always welcomed as a crazy haired woman, with awful roots, and I am turned out time after time with a gorgeous hairdo that is just right for me!! Thank you wonderful ladies.

I have been going for years. Everyone so friendly and professional. Excellent service.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between full head and half head highlights?
Full head highlights place foils throughout the whole head, including underneath and the back, for even brightness from every angle. Half head focuses on the top and sides, which is great for maintenance or a softer result.
Will highlights cover grey hair?
Highlights blend and diffuse grey rather than fully cover it. If you want complete coverage, we can combine highlights with a tint during your consultation.
How long will my appointment take?
Allow around 2.5 to 3 hours, including consultation, foiling, processing, and finish. Very thick, long or first-time hair may take a little longer.
How light can I go in one session?
It depends on your starting shade, hair history and condition. We lighten safely and may build your blonde over several visits to protect strength and shine.
