Duration & Appointment Timing
Allow around 2.5 to 3 hours for the service. Thick or long hair, previous colour build up or very dark starting points may need extra time or staged appointments to reach your target shade. A consultation helps set realistic timing and plan any tests.
Aftercare & Maintenance
Use gentle, colour safe shampoo and conditioner, plus heat protection when styling. Introduce a violet shampoo once or twice a week as advised to control warmth. Book regrowth lightening every 4 to 6 weeks to avoid banding, and refresh the toner between or at your retouch to keep the shade clean. Limit heat, protect hair in the sun, and rinse after swimming. Regular masks help keep hair soft and strong.

I’ve been getting my hair done at Butler & Lawler for a while now and it is always a great experience. Yvonne is a master or colour, even when it’s growing out it still looks natural, and Debbie couldn’t give a bad cut if she tried, she’s also great with tips on how to manage your hair at home. Yvonne and Debbie are also really good company and conversation flows easily. I don’t know the rest of the staff so well but everyone is polite and friendly. I always get nice compliments about my hair after a visit to Butler & Lawler and can highly recommend the salon.
