Biography

Vicky began her career at Vidal Sassoon cutting her first fringe at sixteen and qualifying by nineteen. She went on to refine her craft in Knightsbridge, South Molton Street and at the Sassoon Academy, working in precision cutting every day. Her years included teaching, demonstrating, mentoring and developing a trained eye both on stage and in the classroom.

After a period of freelancing with former Sassoon colleagues, Vicky joined Butler and Lawler in 1995. She bought the salon in 2001 and became sole owner in 2010. Today she leads with calm confidence, thoughtful consultations and a focus on hair clients can manage and style at home.

    My friend recommended Vicky here nearly 15 years ago and I wouldn't go anywhere else. My daughter comes now, I get my hair coloured and cut beautifully with no fuss, it is a great place. I can't recommend it highly enough, a hidden gem with very talented, experienced hairdressers.

    I really love having my hair cut by Vicky at Butler and Lawler. She is such a good cutter, grasping exactly what look I am after. She understands how I am often nervous of change but gently encouraging too if she feels a certain cut will suit me. I trust her entirely, which is important. Not only is she a brilliant cutter/stylist, she is also such fun and I always come away feeling happy and uplifted after seeing her. The atmosphere in B & Lawler is warm and friendly - the other staff are lovely too. It's always a treat to go there, I couldn't recommend it enough.

    A very friendly and cosy environment but don't be fooled....this salon houses top professionals with a lot of experience in styling and colouring. I have been going here for many years and have never been disappointed with the cut or colour. Recently, I have started having short and v short hair from previous mid length and Vicky and Debbie have taken me gradually through the process so that i don't feel "shorn" or traumatised by the change. A few celebrities quietly getting their hair done here but not so you would notice.

    Discovering Vicky almost twenty years ago was one of the best things Ive ever done. The salon has a wonderful friendly and easy going feel to it - with great music. It is truly wonderful to be able to go and have a perfect haircut every time which is exactly what Vicky does. Even though I 've been a regular for so long Vicky still takes the time to review my hair. Whats wonderful is there is no need to chat if you don't feel like it so it can be an enjoyable chat or a really relaxing peaceful hour. Over time many of my friends have become regular clients and I still get stopped in the street by strangers to know where I get my hair cut ! Before she moved to NY my daughter was a regular client of Debbie's , who is also brilliant. I can't recommend the salon and team more highly - Mary

Vicky is an amazing hairstylist. I have tricky hair that needs taming and shaping - she is the best. I love Debbie too. A salon with lovely friendly atmosphere.
