Who It's For
Designed for women who want consistent results without fuss. It suits clients who prefer a classic shape as well as those ready for a restyle, and it works for fine, medium or thick hair.
If your hair is curly or wavy, we shape to define curl and remove bulk without losing length. If your hair is straight or fine, we build movement and body so it looks fuller and stays neat between cuts.
Duration & Appointment Timing
Allow around 60 minutes for consultation, cut and finish. Very long or very thick hair, or a major change, may need a little extra time, so please mention it when booking.
Arrive with your hair dry and styled as usual if possible. It helps us see how it behaves day to day and plan a cut that fits your routine.
Aftercare & Maintenance
We will show you a simple drying method and brush choice to recreate your finish at home. Use heat protection when styling and a light hold product to keep movement without stiffness.
Most styles keep their shape for 6 to 10 weeks. Short cuts and fringes may need 4 to 6. Sleep on a silk or satin pillowcase and refresh the blow dry with a cool blast or a restyle on day two.

I’ve been getting my hair done at Butler & Lawler for a while now and it is always a great experience. Yvonne is a master or colour, even when it’s growing out it still looks natural, and Debbie couldn’t give a bad cut if she tried, she’s also great with tips on how to manage your hair at home. Yvonne and Debbie are also really good company and conversation flows easily. I don’t know the rest of the staff so well but everyone is polite and friendly. I always get nice compliments about my hair after a visit to Butler & Lawler and can highly recommend the salon.
